Gold Buffalo

Uncirculated Gold Buffalo

For the first time in its 200 year history, the U.S. Mint has struck a coin from pure (.9999 fine) gold. On June 22, 2006 the West Point Mint released the new pure 24-karat gold coin which, like the American Eagle, bears a face value of $50.

For the new U.S. coins’ design, the mint turned again to James Earle Fraser’s popular “Indian-Buffalo” motif that appeared originally on the circulating nickel from 1913 through 1938. More recently it was employed in 2001 on the $1.00 Silver commemorative issue.

The uniquely American design remains one of the most beloved and nostalgic of all time and continues the retro trend which began with the original silver and gold eagles of 1986. European Gold

CLASSIC EUROPE GOLD COINAGE

19th Century Gold Kroner, Marka, Guilder, Sovereign, Markka, Ducats, Lire.

Since the introduction of the Euro as the worlds first non-sovereign currency European gold coins have become increasingly scarce in high grade, but still trade at a low premium to comparable US Gold Coins.

As an example, a British gold Sovereign struck during the reign of queen Victoria can be picked up for as little as £80. A similar sized $5 Half Eagle, stuck around the same time starts at about £230.

Where as gem uncirculated (MS65) European coins sell for a few hundred pounds, a Mint State 65 $5 eagle is almost £2,000.

WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND EUROPEAN GOLD COINS AS AN INTELLIGENT ALTERNATIVE TO MODERN GOLD BULLION for those customers seeking low-priced "bulk gold."

We also offer unusual and extremely high-quality European and World Gold coins for collectors and investors. Much of the information you need in order to learn more about this historical and fascinating sector of the gold market appears below.

Among savvy investors, European gold coins are recognized as ONE OF THE MOST ADVANTAGEOUS WAYS TO INVEST IN "BULK" GOLD. Gold coins like British Sovereign "Kings", French 20 franc "Lucky" Angels, and German "Wilhelm II" Gold 20 Marks, to name only a few, offer all of the benefits of gold modern bullion, plus the added leverage to the gold market that comes only with scarce, collectible gold coins.

With so many choices today for the purchase of modern bullion coins, many investors don't even realize that these European gold coins exist! But for almost for the same price per ounce as modern gold bullion, classic European gold coins offer many additional benefits.

European gold coins -- benefits

1) True scarcity — Supplies are limited to what was made decades ago. Market availability is subject strictly to what is available on the open market and what has survived the ravages of time, melt downs, hoarding and other means of attrition.
Modern bullion coins are produced every year in virtually unlimited numbers.

2) International collector and investor demand — European gold coinage is collected throughout the world, ensuring active buy and sell markets for both hobbyists and investors.

3) Complete financial privacy — There are no broker reporting requirements when you buy or sell classic European gold coins. Modern bullion sales are reportable to the revenue services.

4) Exemption from confiscation — Classic coins of historical significance are exempt from governmental confiscation. Modern bullion pieces can be recalled.

5) Double profit opportunity — Because the supply of classic European gold coins is limited to what was made years ago, these coins tend to increase in value faster than bullion. In a rising gold market, you receive all of the profitability of bullion plus the extra premium that only coins with collector value can generate. Indeed, COLLECTOR DEMAND ITSELF CAN (AND DOES) DRIVE UP VALUE EVEN WHEN THE GOLD PRICE IS FLAT OR FALLING.

6) True historical significance — European gold coinages are beautiful historical artefacts, harkening back to days of past nobility.

WORLD COINS

Coins have been struck since about 700 BC, and have been issued by almost every nation in the world. People who appreciate history, geography, languages, or culture will find unlimited opportunities in the world coins.
